Whether you live by the idea that one can never have too many or you've grown weary of tripping over shoes the second you walk through the door of your home, it may be time to purchase one of the many shoe organizers that can handle your entire footwear collection.

Perhaps you're looking for your first shoe organizer or want to peruse other space-saving solutions. Nevertheless, the market has become glutted with hundreds, if not thousands of shoe organizers - some good, others less capable. To help you on your quest for the perfect one, here you'll find a list of products that will prove well-built, easily assembled and easy to use, sleek and stylish. Each organizer listed will help your handle your entire footwear collection, however big or small.

Smart Shoe Cubbies and Cubes

Shoe cubbies and cubes come in many shapes, sizes and materials. Depending on your amount of available space, you may need to go vertical. Perfect for apartments, for example, over the door or hanging shoe organizers can easily help you escape a messy maze of various shoes.

Perfect girls or women with a slight shoe problem, the pink Over the Door Shoe Organizer promises great organization and shoe protection. This fabric organizer has 24 polyester mesh pockets, which holds 12 pairs. Inexpensive but effective, this comes with over the door brackets for easy installation. You may also want to consider the perfectly pink, fabric Hanging Shoe Organizer with polyester mesh side pockets. Its sturdy steel frame hangs from any closet rod, serving as a perfect shoe organizing solution.

If the shoes in your bedroom are in order, but the rest of your house seems in disarray, you can now perfectly organize with Mud Room Bins, Shoe Cabinets or Doored Cubes.

Not only will Mud Room Bins organize your and your family's shoes, they serve as a compliment to any furniture. Made of versatile melamine particle board, Mud Room Bins stack to accommodate not just shoes, but hats, gloves, sweaters, backpacks and more. Coming in a set of three bins, each has three angled cubbies, all total measuring a compact 25 1/2 by 11 1/2 by 9 ½ inches. Also made of melamine particle board, you'll love Shoe Cabinets, many of which hold up to 12 pairs of shoes in single unit. Each Shoe Cabinet door pivots down for easy selection.

Perfect for an indoor/outdoor area or your garage, Doored Cubes, made of heavy duty PVC plastic, allow you to organize any shoe from a pair of boots to multiple pairs of flip flops in each cube. The Doored Cube will start, finely tune or put the finishing touches on any organized space in your home. Its interlocking system also allows you to custom design your space.

Shoe Racks to Handle Your Growing Footwear Collection

Let's face it: even though you may already have too many shoes, this fact simply won't stop you from buying more. Now, no need for buyer's remorse as you can continue to build and organize your entire footwear collection with multi-pair racks. For example, the Multi-Pair Shoe Rack/Tower can fit anywhere from 20 pairs to 50 pairs. Not only is this easy to assemble, unlike others, it's sturdy for any shoe box. Made of steel and polymer, each rack measures 10 inches deep.

Shoe Storage Cabinets Prove a Smart Storage Solution

Perfect for a smaller footwear collection, the One Tier Shoe Cabinet in black promises to store and discreetly conceal shoes and accessories. With a heavy duty 600D polymer cover, this shoe organizer's sturdy steel resin frame will support your shoes and, as an added bonus, proves easy to assemble.

If you need an organizer that can grow with you and your family's entire footwear collection, your best bet is Shoe Cabinets. Made of melamine laminated particle board, Shoe Cabinets can hold up to 12 pairs of shoes in a single cabinet.

Shoe Trees for Your Growing Footwear Collection

Easy to use, well-built and convenient, you'll love the luxury of a Revolving Chrome Shoe Organizer. This shoe organizer is made with chrome plated steel for durability. Daycare Furniture

Therefore, for a good daycare center it is equally essential that a proper furniture setting is made there in the premises of the center so that the children and toddler find a relaxed and fun filled environment for their physical and mental growth. Daycare furniture hence holds an important place in the development of children there in. With proper placement of furniture in the day care center parents also get satisfied with the interior look of the center premises and hence that place for leaving their children with.

Kids Storage Cubby

This furniture needs to be carefully chosen. Many daycare centers have especially designed plans and activities for children of all age groups that are present in the day care center but they do not really bother about the type of furniture that is placed in the daycare center. In such cases, it happens that the mental and physical growth of the child does not progress with the speed it is supposed to be. Daycare furniture needs to be chosen in such a way that the edges and cuts are not sharp and are designed in such a way that they provide a playing and learning activity to the children. The items include cribs, tables, chairs, stools, lockers, and cubbies etc.

Kids Storage Cubby

All the furniture items in the daycare must be attractive and catchy in colors and shapes and should provide a place of fun and activity for children. Another important factor that needs to be considered for daycare furniture items is that the items should not be very large in size, instead these should be normal and properly sized because in daycare centers many furniture items need to be replaced or exchange their places for the purpose of providing enough space for kids to play and engage themselves in recreational activities. The items such as tables and chairs for the use of children are available in attractive colors and light weighted as well. However, it is preferable not to use sliding tables or chairs that have wheels under their legs so that the sliding and free movement can be prevented.

Easy Closet Cleaning and Organization - The Three Pile System

Do your closets get out of control? Full of "stuff" you claim you've never seen before in your life, even if you live alone? Full of things you never use, can never find if you need to, and clothes that get wrinkled, trampled, and otherwise messed up. Does your closet resemble a cartoon closet where there is a virtual landslide when the door opens up? Well, that used to describe me until I took simple and effective action. I'll admit I have a couple more closets to go, but my bedroom closets and all other main closets in my house are in great shape! This simple cleaning and organization even makes my mornings easier and less hectic, and with three little kids to get off in the morning it makes a massive difference.

Kids Storage Cubby

First, pick a closet to tackle. You might chose the messiest, the most annoying, or maybe the easiest to start on. What matters is that you take action; that you start.

Kids Storage Cubby

Completely empty the closet out and clean it. In my case I vacuum and dust, but I've seen closets so dirty that soap and water were needed. Do what you need to do! Next we tackle the "stuff" you took out.

Place the former closet contents into three piles. There are other systems but the three pile system is simple and fast. First is the pile of things you want to keep that belong in this closet. They made need some washing, cleaning, or even ironing in the case of clothes before they go back in. The second pile consists of things you want to keep, but that do not belong in this closet. Pile three, no surprise, is things to get rid off. Be ruthless! I don't care how much you love that shirt or dress, if you haven't fit into it in a decade it's time for it to go! And that thing you haven't used in years probably should go as well. Get rid of this pile quickly before you can change your mind! If you live with a packrat like I do move extra fast!

Now before you replace the items that belong in the closet back in, consider space utilization and storage needs. You may want to put up some racks, cubbies, hanging organizers, and organizer systems to maximize your space and convenience. They are cheap and it's easy to do.

Now rinse and repeat! Next closet please.

Two Popular Ways to Organize a Classroom

Preparing a classroom each fall can be exciting, but also a little overwhelming. If you are a new teacher or have been teaching for several years, new ideas are always helpful. One of the main subjects teachers always want ideas on is classroom organization. With supplies, books, games, and manipulatives, there are many things that can clutter a classroom. Here are two popular ways a teacher can organize a classroom.

Kids Storage Cubby

Organize by Centers

Kids Storage Cubby

Centers are an easy and popular way to organize a classroom. When the room is organized this way, students will look forward to center time. One of the great things about centers is that they do more than just organize. They can be an essential part of reinforcing lessons and making free time productive.

Centers can include books, pretend play, math games, reading games, and more. This is appealing to children and will help keep the room organized. It is also a clear way for teachers to give instructions. When centers are clearly established, students know where to go and what to expect.

For center time to run smoothly, teachers can set a time limit for each center and then ring a bell or make an announcement when time is up. Students then rotate to a new center. This keep kids interested and forces each student to try new things. Teachers can also use centers as an incentive for students who need some motivation.

Organize by Rotation

Just like at home, students can easily become bored by having the same supplies, craft items, games, and toys to use at school. One way that teachers can organize is by rotation. This is a fairly new way to organize but it is gaining popularity among teachers who are looking for ways to keep their classroom fresh.

Organizing by rotation works like this:

At the beginning of the school year, teachers divide their craft items, games, books, hands on materials, and toys into 10 groups. This makes one group for each month that school is in session. When doing this, teachers should keep in mind any holiday or month appropriate items and make sure they get into the correct group.

After dividing the items, leave the ones out for the first month and store the rest in cubbies, storage units, or plastic trays labeled with each of the following months. The first day of each month, teachers simply take out the items for that month and store the items from the last month.

Students love the anticipation of going to school on the first day of each month and seeing new items out for their use. If there are some items that students are particularly fond of, the teacher can decide to keep them out longer. This may seem time consuming at first, but once everything is properly stored, switching out materials will be easy.

Keeping an organized classroom is important. If you are looking for a change, try one of these ways to organize your classroom and keep the clutter at bay.

Shoe Closets - To Clean Up the Scattered Room

How many shoes do you have? You maybe have a few different pairs of work shoes, dress shoes, sandals, sneakers, winter boots, and running shoes lying around your house. Now just multiply that by the amount of people in your house. Things could get out of hand quickly. Rather than tripping over your extra footwear, what if you have one place to put all your shoes. Shoe closets aren't only a stylish way to arrange your shoes, these organization units also make more space in your house.

Kids Storage Cubby

Elegant Organization

Kids Storage Cubby

There are lots of kinds of shoe organizers available on the market: flimsy door-hangs, cheap metal shelving, and plastic boxes that could stacked up. Some of these organizers are hidden in the tops and backs of closets or hidden under clothe racks because they're clunky, unsightly, and inconvenient. In fact, lots of these units make more hassles and fuss than they're worth. In addition, they consume a lot of space in your closet that can be placed to better usage. That's why the shoe closet has become popular, especially to shoe collectors who spend lots of money in gorgeous footwear. Why not show this investment in a fashionable cabinetry system.

Types of Design

Shoe closets have a wide variety of sizes and shapes. Certainly, if you have a huge collection of expensive shoes, you can devote lots of money to a reach-in or walk-in closet for your footwear. But since this could get a bit expensive, you might have to change your meaning of a shoe closet. It can be a small wood cabinet placed with cubbies; it can be an antique chest with gliding drawers or shelving for instant access; or it can even be a bench which opens to reveal an organized stacking system. If you own walk-in closets, these gorgeous storage units can be placed inside them to free space in the rest of your house. In either way, shoe closets are a great way to arrange your shoes, whether you like them stored or displayed in a beautiful piece of furniture.

Other Tidy Advantages

Shoe closets aren't only meant for shoes. Now that you own more storage, you could also place other clothing accessories and items in these units. Also, these items come with options: shelving that could be organized, angled shelves that could literally display your quality shoes, and some walk-in closets could be concealed into the walls. Personalizing the look of your closet is half the excitement, and it's so affordable depending on its size and the material. Take note, both men/women own shoes for each type of occasion or event, so these closets could even help you arrange by climate to avoid the irritation of ransacking and rummaging through pairs of footwear.

Use Containers To Increase Your Organizational Prowess

While using vertical space to improve your organizational prowess is almost always an excellent idea, sometimes things must be corralled, divided, or subdivided in more or less horizontal ways. Try some of these suggestions to make the most of the "other dimension".

Kids Storage Cubby

Contain, contain, contain

Kids Storage Cubby

* For all your fine washables: Mesh lingerie bags do their jobs in the laundry and elsewhere, holding doll clothes, small toys, socks by individual family member, hair ribbons, and bathtub toys hanging in the tub.

* Preserving the memories: If you're a person (like me) who's not likely to put together scrapbooks or photo albums, at least make sure that your pictures are stored in archival-quality photo boxes. Then the method is up to you: organize them by person, event, or chronology. You can also save letters, greeting cards, baseball cards, or sentimental items in such boxes as well, also arranged by event, person, category, or chronology. You'll thank yourself later for keeping these things safe and all in one place.

* Tackling the problem: Tackle boxes are extremely cool. They can hold fishing gear, of course, but also cosmetics and beauty products, jewelry, coin collections, craft and sewing supplies, small tools, and hair accessories. Plus, they're portable, waterproof, and easy to rinse out, and they snap shut to keep the contents where you put them.

* All secure on the shelf front: Tins, bins, plastic lidded containers, jars, cans, canisters, cookie jars, orphaned dishes, fish bowls, flower pots, cache pots, mugs, and vases all make pretty fine (and fun) receptacles for just about anything, especially if they're lidded, stackable, transparent, and/or labeled. To start, think of matching sets -- or at least visually pleasing groups -- to cut down on visual clutter. Then use your containers to corral everything from bath beads, cotton balls, swabs, craft supplies, and small treasures to pasta, dried beans, flour, colored pencils, make-up brushes, bars of soap, and paper clips.

* Bank on it: A banker's box, a lidded plastic file box, or an empty copy-paper box can work wonders for the files you want to archive. Make sure that you really do need to keep them in the first place, and then label the container with the contents and date before it goes into deep storage. Consider adding a "destroy date" if the files have a limited shelf life. Then, when that date arrives, recycle or shred the papers without fear.

* If at first you don't succeed, tray, tray again: Contain your hairbrushes, hand mirrors, and perfume bottles on a pretty tray on the top of your bedroom dresser or bathroom vanity. The tray will keep the items in one place, and when displayed together, they may constitute a beautiful collection. (You artsy thing, you.)

* Bowl or tray, dish or basket, mug or cup... Whatever you choose, just put something right inside the door where you typically enter the house (and perhaps place additional receptacles in the bedroom or bathroom) to catch much of what you bring home -- wallets, keys, glasses, cell phones, receipts, loose change, mail, jewelry, and all that other weird stuff that ends up in pockets. Then clean out the containers very often.

* Boot camp: Contain wet boots and shoes on a plastic boot/shoe tray, and you'll be glad you did when you can just rinse off the tray instead of mopping up the floor for the 18th time this week. You can put the tray away during drier weather, or set plants on it -- it won't matter if they (or you) drip a bit at watering time.

* Just like Grandma's old quilt... Well, not quite, but quilted china bags are pretty soft -- and useful. Protect your expensive or heirloom china in zippered, quilted bags that are made specifically to hold it. There are round ones in various shapes and depths for dishes and bowls, ones with dividers for tea and coffee cups, and tall ones with dividers for wine and water glasses. Grandma will be proud of you.

* Bring it on (or in): At your paper-processing place, make sure you have an in-box, basket, or tray into which you toss the papers that you don't want to misplace, but can't deal with right this minute. If you train your loved ones to do the same, nothing will get lost in the shuffle, and everything will be waiting for you in one place when it's time for you to sit down (during your scheduled time -- make it a priority!) to process your paper.

* Tote that barge: Plastic totes, buckets, or baskets with handles are just the things for holding cleaning supplies as you travel from room to room, gift-wrap sundries (so you can sneak away to a private place in case the gift recipient is watching), beauty and grooming products, and craft necessities. Such a tote is also great if you choose to set up your paper-processing place in a favorite chair, on your bed, or at the kitchen counter. Just outfit a tote with essential supplies -- envelopes, post-its, stamps, pens, tape, scissors, a stapler, paperclips, and the like, plus a clipboard or lap tray to write on -- to create a mini, mobile home office. Then you can take your bills, letters, or other paperwork wherever you like to work.

* Thinking a little bigger? If your paper-processing place is the dining room or kitchen table, rather than an actual office or desk, then something bigger than a tote might be in order. Try a rolling cart with several drawers in it. When you're done working, just roll your mobile office into a nearby closet or empty corner.

Reduce, repurpose, reuse, and recycle

Think of all the cool storage options you have available to you, just by reusing what's in your recycling bin! Here are a few ideas:

* Coffee cans and other metal or plastic "cans" (such as hand-wipe containers) can hold markers, paintbrushes, and pencils. Pretty them up by covering them with contact paper.

* Plastic or wooden berry boxes can hold balls of string or twine. Just thread the loose end through a hole in the box, affix the box to a wall or put it on a shelf, and the ball will stay put while you pull out the length you need. You could even keep a small pair of scissors in the box permanently.

* Hand-wipe and baby-wipe boxes can securely hold any little item by snapping the lid shut.

* A collection of microwave food trays, checkbook boxes, margarine tubs, cough-drop tins, and any other little containers that you can scavenge can form an ingenious infrastructure for your junk drawer (though I prefer to think of it as an Administrative Sundries drawer) or any other spot that needs small compartments.

* Don't you love shoe boxes? For things from dioramas to kids' treasures, they're useful vessels.

* Film canisters (if you still use film, as I do) are great for holding screws and nails; a few buttons, needles, and some thread; a few pairs of earrings while traveling; or small amounts of hand lotion.

Doing double duty

Double-duty furniture rules! Here's a small sampling of pieces that do their primary jobs and provide storage at the same time:

* A large, lidded basket or sturdy, wicker or wooden trunk could serve as a nightstand, end table, side table, or coffee table.

* A bench in a mud room or foyer could have shelves with baskets, boxes, or cubbies above or beneath it; hooks above it; and its seat could flip up to reveal a storage well below.

* Old suitcases have a certain shabby-chic look when they're stacked to form an end table, side table, or nightstand.

* An ottoman with a hollow space inside provides seating, storage, and a table surface if you place a tray on top of it.

* A rolling cart with a butcher-block top expands work space in a kitchen, offers shelves below for large appliances, provides space for utensils in a drawer, and even has a bar for towels or utensils.

* An end table, coffee table, or nightstand with shelves or drawers is better than one without.

* An armoire (or even a small closet) can be outfitted to become a self-contained home office.

When vertical storage just isn't possible, there are still plenty of ways to divide and conquer your belongings using horizontal strategies. Use both of these dimensions together to become the organizational maven you're destined to be!

Create Order In Your Home: Maximize Vertical Spaces

Using vertical space -- whether that means hanging objects from walls or ceilings, stacking them vertically, or just standing them on end versus laying them flat -- is almost always a good idea. The smaller the horizontal footprint you create, the less cluttered the space will feel -- and be. In this piece, I'll explore not only the old favorites of stacking and hanging, but will also add what I hope are a few new tricks using this sometimes overlooked, but highly useful way to store things.

Kids Storage Cubby

Store only what you need, use, and love

Kids Storage Cubby

I hope that this goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: Do a thorough job of purging before you make, beg, borrow, or buy any kind of storage apparatus because you don't have to store what you no longer own. Plus, how can you accurately judge the kind, size, and number of storage mechanisms you'll need if you don't know what you're storing? First things first: know what you're storing before you buy containers or storage infrastructure.

But you do have to store what you decide to keep, so...

...that makes the post-purge period the perfect time to re-evaluate where and how you store things. Keep in mind that storage spaces and products must be appropriate for their contents, as well as for the frequency of use of those contents. The four main kinds of storage are:

* temporary: for transient objects such as the mail, newspaper, and car keys

* everyday: for things you use a lot, such as dishes, socks, and shampoo

* seasonal: for items such as holiday decorations, winter coats, and beach toys

* deep: for things such as your tax returns from four years ago, and special heirlooms that you want to keep but don't want to display

Hang it, stand it, stack it, rack it

One of the most useful strategies that you'll ever take into the organizing battle is the goal of maximizing vertical space. "Going vertical" -- whether you hang things, stand them on end, stack them up in a pile, or use hooks or multi-hook racks -- is almost always a stellar idea because it takes things up and out of your way, and it allows you to eliminate some horizontal surfaces, which are clutter magnets. The higher you can go with your vertical organization (without creating dangerous, inconvenient, or unrealistic retrieval requirements, of course) -- and thus the more wall, ceiling, vertical shelf, and vertical cupboard space you can use -- the smaller the horizontal footprint you'll create. The result? More space, light, air, order, and breathing room.

Let's look at some of the many ways to implement this principle of using vertical space.

* Love my cubby: Cubby units and lockers are great examples of using vertical space because you can hang stuff inside, put it on top, and maybe even store things below them if they're on legs.

* Book 'em: Albums and three-ring-binder-type books that hold such items as recipes, schedules, photos, household information, carry-out menus, CDs, and owner's manuals can store a lot of information vertically.

* April showers: Caddies and organizers that hang either on the wall of the shower or over the showerhead can hold several bottles on their shelves, as well as bath puffs and shavers on their hooks.

* It's the curtains for you! Shower curtains, that is. Use one with pockets sewn on the outside (dry) side to create lots of spots to stash lightweight items such as combs, cotton balls, barrettes, and hair ribbons.

* Can you feel the tension? A tension rod -- a long pole that runs floor to ceiling and is held in place by tension -- outfitted with horizontal "arms" and posted near the shower offers places from which to hang brushes, sponges, and towels, as well as buckets or baskets that, in turn, can hold smaller things such as soap and shavers. A pole like this can also hold plants, plus heavy-duty garage versions can even support bicycles.

* It's a shoe-in: Clear-plastic shoe organizers with a dozen or more pouches are great for bundles of socks, pantyhose, rolled-up belts, folded scarves, large pieces of jewelry, small toys, puppets, mittens, hairbrushes, and on and on. They hang nicely on either side of a door -- vertical space that's often overlooked.

* Shoe-in, too: Another variety of shoe (or sweater) organizer is the fabric kind with rectangular cubby holes -- in either narrow or wide styles -- that hangs from a closet rod. It can hold shoes, naturally, but it can also corral entire outfits for kids, shirts, pants, small games, mittens, hats, and myriad other things. When placed in a mudroom or at the door you use most, it can hold incoming or outgoing gear. The best part is, with its wide openings and no lids, doors, or other obstacles, even the most organizationally challenged folks ought to be able to put a few things away in this organizer's big, wide-open slots. If your household members are a little more disciplined, such an organizer can be outfitted with fabric drawers.

* Tie one on: Tie and belt racks consume zero floor space and can hold plenty of ties, belts, scarves, necklaces, bracelets, and lint brushes.

* The best little hook: Cup hooks rule! Besides hanging mugs from them inside or under a cupboard, hang a hair dryer from one inside the bathroom vanity, or hang your keys on the wall by the door you use most.

* Up and under: Suspend your wine glasses by their bases on tracks, either inside or under a cupboard, and mount small appliances under cupboards to free up counter space as well. Plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and boxes of zip-top bags can reside inside a door with the help of a special holder designed to hold long, lean boxes.

* Up and over: Over-the-door hooks and racks are super for bathrobes, coats, towels, clothes you plan to wear again, and fresh laundry on hangers. Some of these have a fold-down drying rack attached, which can hold damp dish towels, wet mittens, and other things that need air-drying.

* Chain gang: If you hang a length of chain (or a set of shower-curtain rings linked together) from the ceiling or over a closet clothes rod, and then hang 'S' hooks or clothespins on it, you've got a winning vertical storage idea for purses, hats, scarves, belts, and lightweight stuffed animals with collars.

* Clothesline the guy: String a clothesline, rope, or ribbon along a child's bedroom wall and hang art pieces from it with clothespins. Or, add one to a kitchen wall to hold photos, messages, invitations, and greeting cards.

* Those lazy days of summer? If you don't seem to be making much use of that summer hammock out in the yard, use it inside the garage. Suspend it from two walls in a corner, sort of near the ceiling, and use it to corral sports balls, cushions, canoe paddles, sleeping bags, swim noodles, or other light-but-bulky items. A smaller version in a child's room can hold stuffed animals, pillows, and large-but-lightweight toys.

* Double the pleasure: Suspend a second clothes rod from the existing one in a closet using two cords or lengths of chain to double your storage capacity for shorter clothes such as shirts. If you need to store longer items such as dresses and robes as well, suspend the second rod from only part of the existing rod and hang the longer items from the original rod.

* Shed no tiers: Tiered, hanging baskets -- typically three wire-mesh ones in graduated sizes that hang from a chain -- can hold fruit and vegetables in the kitchen, cotton balls and wash cloths in the bathroom, and/or socks and small treasures in kids' rooms. Tiered skirt hangers are also cool because you can hang many skirts -- on both sides of it -- in not much more width than it would normally take to hang one.

* Shelve it: Plastic or plastic-coated-wire shelf inserts can be real boons for your cupboards and closets. Just set one in a spot where you have a lot of vertical space but not much horizontal surface area -- on the shelf in a high-ceilinged closet, in a tall cupboard with no shelves, or on a standard-size shelf that could be better utilized if there were a "mezzanine" added. Imagine the precarious towers of objects that you'll eliminate.

* Straighten up: Another shelf savior is the vertical divider. Whether made of wood, metal, or plastic-covered wire, these make things that tend to topple -- sweaters, purses, and blankets -- stand at attention.

Go vertical by hanging, standing, stacking, racking, and embrace that vertical space.

Shoe Storage Ideas - Thinking Outside the Shoe Box

Sometimes finding space for shoe storage simply means using space you already have, knowing what products are available and being creative... "thinking outside the shoe box" if you will.

Kids Storage Cubby

How much space do you have?

Kids Storage Cubby

You need to have good measurements for your closet or entryway.  Closet products are generally sized in 12 inch intervals as a closets are usually 24 inches deep but your entrance way can be large enough for a storage bench or small enough that it won't even accommodate shoe storage so get good measurements.

How many shoes need to be stored?

Which shoes do you wear most often and which ones are simply stored away?  We usually only wear about 20% of what we own so some of your footwear will be worn often and those are the items that you need to keep readily accessible.  Everything else can be stored away.

 Products for shoe storage

Boxes- boxes are suitable for storing shoes that are not to be accessed frequently.  Look for clear plastic boxes so you can easily identify what is in there.  Make sure if you are using boxes for shoe storage that are all of the same variety and that they are made to stack together. Shoe racks - shoe racks can be plastic coated metal, laminate, and melamine covered particle board and even real cedar.  Look for shoe racks with stackable components so you can use the vertical space in your closet. Try raising the closet rod to 72 inches and then putting the shoe rack on the floor.  This arrangement provides space for shoe storage and still allows enough vertical space above your shoes for hanging garments.  You will need about 8-9 inches per pair of shoes so a 24 inch lineal space on a shoe rack could accommodate 3 pairs of shoes stored side by side.  Generally shoe racks made for storing shoes in this way are manufactured in 24 inch widths. Underbed shoe storage - some products are now made to fit underneath the bed to provide use of space that is otherwise wasted.  Underbed  units are made of either soft plastic or rigid plastic boxes with hinged lids.  This is another shoe storage idea for those shoes that are not accessed often.  If you need extra space under the bed to accommodate a storage unit then raise the bed a few inches. There are specific products available called "bed risers"  that can be used to get the bed a few inches higher in order to make the  horizontal surface under the bed more usable for storage.  You can even go to the big box store and purchase bed casters that are adjustable to different heights and they might provide the few extra inches you need.

Think  "outside the shoe box"

It is not always necessary to use a product designed for shoe storage if you want to store shoes.  Other types of furniture can sometimes do just as well.  I have seen metal lockers,  book cases, storage baskets, and even laundry baskets used to corral those loose shoes.

Here are three ideas for shoe storage that essentially make good use of products that were designed  for something else.

Do you have a  big decorative clay pot?  Instead of planting a plant in there and dealing with all the dirt and constant watering use it to store shoes right by the entry way. A  vertical CD holder  doesn't have to be for CD's, some of them are great for storing your footwear. One of the most creative shoe storage ideas I have seen is the use of an  entertainment unit  placed at the end of a king size bed.  It is often hard to find a bench that will span the entire width of a king size bed but this unit fit perfectly and the owners used the "cubbies" for shoe storage.  If also provided a perfect place to sit while donning shoes.

So if you want new and original shoe storage ideas for all of those shoes you have on the floor and not on your feet, just get creative and think outside the shoe box.

Teachers! Here's How to Get the Best Out of Your Kids

Every teacher who cares about their job will know that the most important thing to achieve in the classroom is getting every single one of your kids to do their best. When they do well, you will feel on top of the world and your superiors will notice the good work you are doing. More importantly, your pupils will achieve higher and will have the best start in life they possibly can. The problem is how to get the best out of young students. Here are some top tips on how to do just that.

Kids Storage Cubby

Environment

Kids Storage Cubby

A classroom should be a warm and friendly environment with a focus on educational decoration. Working on projects that can be displayed on the wall not only helps to boost kids' confidence but it brightens up the room at the same time. The atmosphere should be friendly but there should be a line where, if they cross it, you must maintain a discipline that is unwavering.

Support

Supporting those with difficulties is extremely important. By making sure those with less aptitude feel like they have as much support and praise as your high achievers will not only help them do better, but will prevent them from getting bored and acting out. Any learning difficulties should be identified early as possible as without special assistance these children will only fall further behind.

Inclusion

Self esteem has a huge impact on peoples' lives. Those without it more often than not, picked up their issues at school. To help boost every child's confidence try to stick to games and tasks which encourage children to work together and keep an eye out for any child being left out and act quickly to find them a friend.

Equipment

Most teachers will agree that they could do with more or better equipment in their classroom. Having adequate educational supplies is one thing, but having the right kind of classroom furniture is another. You may have access to a top of the range interactive white board, but if your kids are sat on inappropriate seating, they may not be able to focus properly on what you are teaching them. By making sure you have the best teaching tools and furniture possible you will help their attention spans.

Discipline

No amount of classroom storage can make up for a lack of discipline. If your class is being lead astray by individuals you need to work fast to address their issues and to remind your whole class that you are in control. This is a really hard task so consulting an experienced teacher in your school will help you keep your children focused and on the road to becoming nice, happy, intelligent people.
